Quilting and other Things

This is the view from my balcony in the evening in Calgary. If you catch the right time, the office tower across from the hotel reflects the view from behind the hotel. A little bit later and the office tower lights come on and the reflection goes away.... The hotel room was actually a suite. The literature in the room says the suites start at 659 square feet. My first apartment was 640 square feet. The idea that the hotel room is bigger than my first apartment still amuses me. Bedroom Living Room Dining Room

We got 11 of us into my living room on Saturday evening for Easter dinner. We made sea pie (no fish in this just meat despite the name). Dad choose the cake. Eleven was a little cosy but it worked out well. Callee let people reach through the banister and give respectful ear tickles. When she'd had enough she'd back up on the stair out of arms reach. I missed getting a photo of her and Mike LeMay. Talk to Shelagh -- I think she got one.

Thursday night, the snow storm turned to rain and winds. The tree in the front yard lost a lot of twigs and small branches.... Today, I made the blocks for this month's $10 quilt class assignment. My 20 minute drive home took 80 minutes. When I got home, I took these photos for you. The good news is that guild was postponed until next week due to the weather.
